Once again Brush Creek is scheduled to have a busy summer. One of the most talked about events is the Community of Christ sesquicentennial celebration which will be hosted during the June Reunion. Campground officials are expecting large registration numbers for this event. Registration forms for both June and July Reunions can be found on the Reunion page. Also there will only be three youth camps this year instead of four. Be sure to check out the Youth Camps section for more information on the youth camps. The schedule for the summer can be found under the Schedule section. We hope that you can join and worship with us this summer. |

Brush Creek Kitchen Update |

To The Brush Creek Mission Center Congregations In behalf of the Brush Creek Campground Board, we express our sincere thanks for the kitchen offering. Bill Knapp, our treasurer, reports we have received $15,255.25 so far from the congregational offerings. This is great and we appreciate your generous response. If there are some congregations that have not sent Bill your offering, we encourage you to do so. Thanks again. We have ordered two new Garland Stoves and one Garland Convection Oven for the kitchen. This is what those who work in the kitchen listed as their number one recommendation. Cliff is painting the kitchen. Shelving will be installed before the camping season starts. We will do these ourselves with talented volunteer carpenters. Some additional items will be purchased for the kitchen. We are looking forward to a wonderful year at Brush Creek. Make your plans to attend reunion. Encourage the youth from your congregation to attend youth camp. Great blessings are in store as we prepare and share in worship and fellowship at Historic Brush Creek. The Brush Creek Campground Board, Dale Warren |

Work Week 2009 |

Brush Creek recently had a work week. The following is information from Brush Creek Board President Dale Warren.
We had some 50 people present on two of the work days. We had rain on Tuesday and again on Thursday and Friday. It was a time of great fellowship, work, and sharing together. We had wonderful meals served each day.
We are sure campers next year at reunions and youth camps will appreciate and enjoy the great volunteer work and donated materials that was used in re-furbishing and upgrading the campground. It's a labor of love. What a joy to be involved in such a precious work. Thanks to everyone for your great contribution to historic Brush Creek.

YA Work Weekend |

The Young Adults sponsored a work weekend at Brush Creek along with a fundraiser to support the youth camping program. Primary focus of the work was to clear the underbrush around the pine trees in the softball field. Several dead trees were also removed. Wood was split and stacked next to the campfire site for the 2010 camping season. The Young Adults escaped the weekend with only minor injuries battling the brush and stiff backs and legs cutting the wood and loading it up.
Saturday evening a spaghetti supper and trivia night was held to raise funds to help with the Youth Camping program. Over 60 people from the Mission Center and community came out to enjoy the evening. The night brought in over $1200. A special thank you goes out to all that were involved with the activities and all who participated. We hope that you can join us next year. Dates will be released later and will be posted on the Schedule link at the top of the screen.
